A holistic approach to social & emotional development

Our Paediatric Clinic provides a multidisciplinary, group-based therapy program that supports children aged 3 to 14 in developing critical social and emotional skills. Led by a team of Occupational Therapists, Speech Pathologists, and Physiotherapists, the program is designed to help children who may be struggling with emotional regulation, peer interaction, and everyday social challenges.

Whether your child is an NDIS participant with social-emotional goals in their plan or a privately paying family seeking quality support, our program offers a welcoming and inclusive environment tailored to meet your child’s developmental needs.

Who we support

This program is specifically designed for children who find it difficult to manage emotions, engage in peer relationships, or navigate social situations like turn-taking, coping with frustration, or problem-solving. Children are grouped with peers at similar developmental stages to maximise the benefits of shared learning and social interaction.

What makes this program different

Unlike traditional therapy models that often isolate children or focus on adult-directed interactions, our clinic offers a more dynamic, real-world approach. Children engage in structured group activities where they can practice new skills with their peers in a safe, supportive setting.

Our clinicians provide real-time coaching and feedback during sessions, helping children learn how to interpret social cues, regulate emotions, and respond effectively to challenges. This immediate support allows children to apply their skills in meaningful, everyday ways — not just in therapy, but in life.

Allied Health services we provide

Throughout the program, your child will benefit from the expertise of a multidisciplinary allied health team. Occupational Therapists focus on emotional regulation and self-management; Speech Pathologists support language development and social communication; and Physiotherapists help build coordination and physical confidence, which are essential for active social participation.

These services are integrated into each group session, allowing for a seamless therapy experience that addresses your child’s development as a whole.

How the Program Works

The clinic operates in term-based blocks, each running for 8 to 10 weeks. Children attend 60-minute sessions every two weeks, with 50 minutes dedicated to interactive group therapy and 10 minutes allocated for clinicians to document progress and plan future goals.

Each child undergoes an initial multidisciplinary assessment before joining, ensuring that they are appropriately matched with peers and that their therapy is tailored to their unique needs. Behind the scenes, our team of clinicians meet weekly to jointly plan each session, ensuring a truly collaborative and consistent approach.

Referrals & enrolment

Children can be referred by their existing allied health professionals, or parents can contact us directly to discuss whether the program is a good fit for their child. Every new participant will complete an initial assessment to help set personalised goals and ensure optimal group placement.

Evaluating progress

Throughout the program, we track each child’s development using both formal assessments and ongoing clinical observation. Parents are invited to participate in review discussions at the end of the term, where we share insights, celebrate progress, and plan the next steps together.

Each family will receive a written summary report at the end of the program. For NDIS participants, this aligns with their plan goals, while privately paying families receive the same level of detail and care.

Cost & funding

The cost of the program is aligned with the standard NDIS pricing for allied health services. Families who are not NDIS-funded are welcome to participate at the same rate, and all fees include the initial assessment, group sessions, and dedicated resource planning by our clinicians. We’ll also provide any documentation you need to support NDIS claims.
