Enteral Nutrition Training (Stoma & PEG) in Townsville & Mackay
We offer group training sessions on enteral nutrition, delivered by Accredited Practicing Dietitians (APDs). This training is designed to give you a solid introduction to managing enteral feeding and related care.
The program covers essential topics such as stoma management and PEG care, how to prepare feeds, and the best practices for timing and delivery. You’ll also take part in a practical workshop where you can practice feeding techniques and review example feeding regimens.
In addition, the training includes guidance on troubleshooting common issues and managing emergencies. At the end of the session, participants will receive a certificate of completion (note: this is non-accredited training) along with a competency checklist.
We offer flexible options for where the training takes place—either onsite at our clinic or offsite at your location.

Group training format
Enteral Nutrition training runs for 2 hours – one hour of theory, presented using PowerPoint, and one hour of practical, hands-on experience and case discussion. At the completion of the course, each participant receives a certificate of completion and resources to support ongoing practice, including training materials and patient education tools.
Training is conducted at our Townsville and Mackay clinics with offsite options available by arrangement.
Group sized are limited to a maximum of 10 people so there is opportunity to use the various pieces of equipment and allow for specific questions & group discussion.

Non-accredited training
Non-accredited courses are designed to teach relevant skills that will enable workers to perform their jobs more safely & effectively. These courses are non-accredited and do not count towards a recognised qualification.
Digital certificates will be issued to confirm people have attended and completed this training. Printed certificates can also be arranged for individuals.
